According to Hits Daily Double, ‘Thriller 25th Anniversary Edition’ achieved an impressing 20% sales increase this week with 49.181 copies being sold, making it jump from #9 to #4 on the US chart.

While albums sales were generally very low in the past week, Michael`s album was one of only 7 albums in the Top 50 that showed sales increases. The new album ‘Discipline’ by his sister Janet even had to suffer a 71% sales decrease, selling just slightly more albums than Thriller 25 (51.753) in its second week on the chart.

At a total 300,000-plus, Thriller 25 is heading for gold certification with the RIAA.
