BET Awards 2008

This year’s list of winners at the BET Awards included:
* Media Award – Tyra Banks
* Entertainment Award – Alicia Keys
* Entrepreneur Award – Janice Bryant Howroyd, founder of ACT I Personnel Services
* Corporate Citizen Award – Time Warner Board Chairman Richard Parsons
* Public Service Award – Rep. Maxine Walters, Democrat from California
* Award for Education – Cornel West, author, activist and professor of religion at Princeton University
Unfortunately, although scheduled, Michael Jackson did not make an appearance at the BET ceremony which took place in Washington (USA).
