Michael Jackson spotted In Tullamore Centre

October 28th, 2006

Pop legend Michael Jackson is believed to have made a surprise visit to Tullamore last Tuesday when he attended local play centre Jumping Jacks with his three children.

The star was accompanied by his children, a minder and a young woman during the visit to the Tullamore children’s play centre.

Julie Humphreys, who was attending the centre with her aunt and young son Adam Sheridan was stunned to see the pop star at the centre.

“Of all the places in Ireland I didn’t think Tullamore would be the hub of entertainment,” she said.

Julie explained that the star was dressed in all black with a cowboy hat and sporting a veil.

He didn’t play with the children at any point while she was at the centre but sat and watched as his children played with the six or so other kids in the centre.

Jackson’s own children “sort of mingled with the six other children”, Julie said.

Julie’s became aware of the singers presence when her aunt was approached by the minder and quizzed about taking photographs.

She explained that the pictures she was taking were of her nephew and not the star’s children.

In all, Julie estimated that Jackson and his entourage spent up to two hours at the centre.

At one point she was followed out of the centre by the minder who she believed was checking to see if she was making a phone call.

According to Julie, Jackson spoke to one of the other mothers during the visit.

Manager of Jumping Jacks John Carroll firmly denied that Michael Jackson had visited the play centre.

However, Michael Jackson is believed to be currently recording only 15 miles away from the centre in Grousse Lodge Studios in Westmeath.

The star was photographed outside the studio on Friday and is understood to be recording at the location until December 1.

Michael Jackson had been renting Luggala Castle, Co Wicklow for a staggering €30,000 a week. He was believed to have been flying in and out of the studio by helicopter for a number of weeks prior to the sighting.
