LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Michael Jackson might be shunning the
spotlight these days, but his family sure isn’t. Making the rounds at cable
networks in recent weeks is a proposed pilot for a reality series in which
Jackson’s siblings are featured players, sources said.
Cory Rooney, a music producer who has worked with Jennifer Lopez and is
producing an upcoming MTV series called “The Shop,” confirmed that he is
shopping the project.
The show would focus on a trio of second-generation Jacksons trying to
restart their careers in music. The sons of Jackson’s brother Tito succeeded
overseas as the members of boy band 3T during the 1990s but are trying to
mount a comeback as adults. They receive help from their father as well as
other aunts and uncles on the show — including LaToya and Jermaine Jackson
– but one of the obstacles they face is the notoriety their uncle Michael
encountered in various courtroom battles during the past decade.
Still to be determined is whether Michael will join his siblings on the
program, though footage of him interacting with Tito’s children appears in
the pilot. Also included on the show is the Jackson family softball team in
action, complete with a cameo from San Francisco Giants slugger Barry Bonds.
This isn’t the first time the Jackson family has attempted to invade reality
TV; the clan shopped a different project to the networks in June exhibiting
how they rallied behind Michael shortly after he was acquitted on 10 counts
of child molestation and related charges.

New York : “The Godfather” legend Marlon Brando held such a high opinion of
singer Michael Jackson, that he wanted to make a two-part TV special which
would have highlighted each others careers.
Jackson was apparently so thrilled with the prospect that he called and left
his former aide Marc Schaffel a voice message at 4:41 in the morning which
stated that the project was to start as soon as possible.
“Marlon Brando is pushing, and he’s a wonderful man. He’s a god. We have to
get this done. He wants to get it done before Christmas … He just wants to
make it a big deal. He wants a lot of money, and we would own it together .
. . He really wants it, I mean I think that he feels he won’t be living too
much longer,” the New York Post quoted Jackson’s message, as saying.
According to sources, Part-one of the show was to be set at Jackson’s estate
Neverland, with Brando chatting up Jackson about his music, while Brando’s
private Polynesian island was supposed to be the backdrop of the second
part, with the singer questioning The Godfather. The project however never
materialised as Brando died on July 1, 2004.

Drug Overdose Rumours Lies
Earlier this week the National Enquirer reported that Michael Jackson had suffered several drug overdoses and that his condition was now ‘critical’. That story is entirely false.
It is not unusual for tabloid papers like the National Enquirer to publish such fiction - but in recent weeks many stories have come out of Santa Barbara, seemingly linked to the DA’s office there, alleging one thing or another about the King of Pop.
Today, Michael’s publicist, Raymone Bain, has issued a statement on his behalf. It reads;
Michael Jackson has been working with several artists recording his Katrina Relief song, and with me all week, including today. He is doing fine. I have never seen him happier or healthier.
Whomever these individuals are who are intent on disseminating false information throughout the media regarding Mr. Jackson, should begin hiring good attorneys. Likewise, the few irresponsible journalists who continuously rely on these ‘sources,’ and report this false information.
Mr. Jackson’s tolerance level has come to an end. The Green light that people have thought they have had to willfully impugn Michael Jackson’s character and integrity has now become Red.
It is interesting to note that these odd rumours and stories - apparently connected to the same office which tried unsuccessfully to prosecute Michael earlier this year - have coincided with news of a major new Michael Jackson release.
